The right hand plaque, in memory of the Brethren of the Lodge who fell in the Second World War, includes the name of Bro. James Picken, who actually died in 1945 after the war had ended.

The Lodge Roll Book records that he was Initiated on the 21st of August 1945, at the age of 33, and was killed in service with the RAF abroad on the 20th of September 1945.

He only received his First Degree and a pencilled note in the Roll Book states that his "fees were returned".
